Description
The CI854A is a PROFIBUS DP-V1 master communication interface for ABB AC 800M controllers. It acts as a critical bridge between AC 800M controllers and external PROFIBUS DP devices such as remote I/O, drives, and sensors, enabling real-time data exchange. The module supports PROFIBUS DP-V1 protocol with dual PROFIBUS ports for redundancy. Baud rates from 9.6 kbps to 12 Mbps. The CI854B is the newer replacement for CI854A in new installations, requiring AC 800M controller firmware version 6.0.0-2 or later. Module redundancy is supported for modules with the same module type.
